# Delay

#### Applicability

This description applies to the 8-channel and 16-channel version of the Delay module.

#### Overview

Delay is a module for delaying audio signals for longer periods of time. It is used to compensate for timing differences between signal paths, devices, or audio and video paths. It's maximum delay time allows for compensating even longest delays caused by satellite links or similar applications.

#### Processing Principle

The module delays each signal path according to the configured coarse and fine delay values. Both values add up to the total delay time.
