# Dolby® ED2 Encoder

This description applies to the Dolby® ED2 Encoder module.

#### Overview

Dolby ED2 Encoder is a module for encoding audio and associated metadata into Dolby ED2 format.

#### Processing Principle

The module combines the audio input with the configured metadata to generate a Dolby ED2 encoded output. Dolby ED2 can hold up to 16 audio channels.
