Downmix Matrix

Overview

The Downmix Matrix is a Processor for creating a downmix from a multichannel input signal. It uses a matrix-based processing stage to derive a lower-channel output format from a higher-channel input format.

The Processor is intended for workflows where immersive or surround content must be made available in a reduced channel format.

  • Format conversion for monitoring

  • Generating compatibility outputs

  • Routing multichannel content to lower-channel destinations
