Input Conditioner

Applicability

This description applies to the Mono, Stereo, Surround, and Immersive versions of the Input Conditioner module.

Overview

Input Conditioner is a module for basic preparation of an input signal before further processing. It provides level, mute, polarity, filter, mono, delay, and grouping controls.

Processing Principle

The module adjusts the incoming signal before it enters the main processing chain. It can apply per-channel and master gain, channel mute and polarity handling, high-pass and low-pass filtering, and delay. Coarse and fine delay add up to a total delay value.

Parameters

Level and Channel Control

Parameter - Level and Channel Control

Description

Enable

Enables or disables the Input Conditioner stage.

Grouping

Controls how channels are linked or grouped.

Master Gain

Adjusts the overall gain of the conditioned input signal for all channels. It can be used as a master fader, for example in combination with an automation system or a physical fader via a control protocol.

Gain

Adjusts the gain of an individual channel (subject to linking settings).

Mute

Mutes an individual channel (subject to linking settings).

Mono

Controls mono handling for the input path.

Polarity

Inverts or restores the polarity of an input channel.

Filtering and Delay

Parameter - Filtering and Delay

Description

HPF

Controls the frequency of a high-pass filter.

LPF

Controls the frequency of a low-pass filter.

Delay Coarse

Sets the coarse input delay amount in milliseconds.

Delay Fine

Sets the fine input delay amount in samples.
