Applicability

This description applies to the Downmix Matrix module used by the Downmix Matrix Processor.

Overview

Downmix Matrix is a module for matrix-based conversion from a higher-channel input format to a lower-channel output format. It provides input format selection, per-input contribution control, output gain, and limiter-related controls.

Processing Principle

The module maps input channels to output channels using destination assignments and destination gains. Additional (optional) input controls can adjust delay, gain, polarity, and mute state before the matrix contribution is applied.

Parameter - Input and Matrix Routing

Description

Input Format

Selects the input channel format used by the matrix and deactivates unused input channels.

Matrix

Sets the mix gain or mute for each matrix connection.

Limiter Threshold

Sets the threshold used by the limiter stage in the matrix output path.
